Gallery Sections

The Australian Moke Forum has two main Gallery Sections - the Public Gallery and the User Galleries.

When uploading photos, please make sure you are putting them in the right place.

Here's a quick guide to the sections, and how they should be used.

The Public Gallery

The Public Gallery can be used by anyone to upload photos, and has four main sections at the moment.

Moke Help Images - For any general images of mokes or components that may help someone or explain something, and are free to use by anyone on the forum.

Moke Event related images - Photos of moke events, trips, tours etc. Sub Categories will be added as events occur.

Moke Spotting - A place to put those images of Mokes that you have spotted.

Forum Snips - Screen captures that help explain how to use the forum and it's features. Not for moke photos.

New sections can easily be added, and if you have any suggestions please let us know.

User Galleries

This is your own private gallery. Images can be seen by everyone, but only you can upload photos to here.

Your gallery can have as many sections as you care to create, and you can move your photos between sections.

If you want, you can even add icons for each category - either from a gallery image or your computer/internet.

My Gallery/My Images

Both these two buttons will take you to your photos, but there is a subtle difference.

My Gallery will take you to a list your gallery sections.

My Images will take you to a list of all your photos - regardless of where they stored.

Moving Your Images

To move an image between the categories in your gallery, select the photo and click the edit button.

In the drop down box next to categories, select where you want the photo to go.

When you're done, click the 'Edit Picture' button at the bottom. None of this will affect your posts in any way.

Moving Images from the Public Gallery

Unfortunately you can't move your photos from a public gallery to your own user gallery, or the other way around. This is why it is important to choose carefully when uploading them! If you want to move an image after it has been used in a post, just remember that deleting it and uploading it again will mean you have to edit every post the image has been used in! The best way is to ask a Custodian to do it for you, and you won't need to change your posts.

Sometimes your images may be moved if they are obviously in the wrong place, and it's all a part of keeping the forum tidy and an easy place to find things.

*GALLERY UPDATE*

Several new public galleries have been added. In the Moke Events section are two new sub galleries - Round Up 2012, and IMD 2012. There is also a Trading Post section for any photos to be used in the Trading Post.

Due to the large number of random images posted in the 'Forum Snips' gallery, this section is no longer available to standard members for uploading photos. All existing images are still available to view and use by all.

Any photos in there that aren't screen shots will be moved to user galleries as I get time - but because this takes me so long the offending members will be asked to supply new batteries for my mouse. ;D

Cheers, MD.
