When first joining The Austrlian Moke Forum, all members are placed into Member Groups which is shown in your profile of each post.
Each of these Member Groups have their own level of access to features within the forum.

Registered Member - This is the Member Group assigned when you first sign up and has very limited access to features. This is used to prevent spammers, robots and other miscreants from posting malicious content without approval. Genuine members are manually upgraded to Standard by the administrators once they begin to post.

Standard - This is the group the majority of people belong to and provides access for active members to make comments and post photo's etc.

Sometimes different Member Groups are formed to work on certain things that may be associated with the Forum, or groups working on Moke events etc.

Forum Support Group (FSG) - Is a group of Standard Members assisting in some of the discussions around the Forum and its features with the intent to make it even better.

Custodian- Is the small group who oversee the technical and "Big Picture" type issues.

Past or Inactive Member.- From time to time, we will need to change the Profile Status of members that become "Inactive" after a long period of time. At the moment, its 1 year of inactivity.
There are good reasons for doing this. For most of us, one would be that if you are reading an old thread and want to ask the member a question, you will see in their status that they are no longer active within the Forum.
This doesnt mean the membership has been cancelled, just that it will be placed into this special membership group.

If you have been placed into this group and wish to become active again, just make your post and your Standard status will be returned manually by someone once they see you are back.

We also actively delete members that are known to be spammers, hack attempts and those people who have joined but have not posted and not logged in for some time. So when we are working on this, you will see a reduction in the total number of members from time to time.

Experiencing the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon.
"As a Moke owner, you have a heightened awareness of Mokes in your environment, they were always there."
