I recon I just scared everyone off! Maybe I should have waited! Oh well..... who's brave?

I'm sure you haven't scared everyone off Sue. Biggles and Moke2b maybe, but not everyone......  ;)

We have to get to work and put a few more threads up on this board soon, but both Greg and I are a bit tied up at the moment with our local Kootingal Motor Club show which is on this weekend at the Moonbi showgrounds for anyone who's close enough to drop in and have a look http://www.kootingalmotorclub.com.au/2014-moonbi-motor-show.html

Plans for the Round Up are certainly progressing in the background though, but we will have a little more time to put towards updating things on here and firming some details up once we get past this weekend  :)

In the meantime, for those who are really keen, we have already firmed up arrangements with the Austin Tourist Park http://www.austintouristpark.com.au/ which will serve as Moke Central for the third time running as we couldn't ask for a better location or more co-operative proprietors. A very important thing to remember though for those super organised folks who want to book in early, is that they have requested we do not book in online. They have reserved a large section of the camping/caravan area for us and virtually all of the cabins, so really need to know that you are "with the Moke group" when you book and the only way to do this is over the phone or in person.

Rest assured that the event is definitely going ahead and dates are locked in solid and will not be changed, so feel free to make a booking if you wish and lock in that annual leave if you need to.

We have been receiving excellent feedback from our earlier request for people to register their interest (commitment free at this stage  :) ) on our web page here http://www.mokeroundup.com.au/contact-us.html. The first newsletters have already been sent out, so if you'd like to be kept up to date on all the developments, please add your name to the mailing list. If you've already done this and haven't received a newsletter via email, please contact either KMC or myself and we'll look into it.

Just like to echo what Newie has said in the previous post - things are certainly progressing and the event definitely going ahead. We're just waiting on a couple of things to be confirmed before we send out another newsletter and also the registration forms. A reminder to register your interest via the Roundup website (www.mokeroundup.com.au/contact-us.html) so we can make sure you get newsletters.

If you're certainly coming, remember to book accommodation asap to ensure you get your preferred choice. And, as Newie said previously, remember not to book online - call them on either 1800 826 967 or (02)6766-2380 and let them know you are with the Moke group.

And, for those who like stats, we have had 38 people contact us to say the are planning on coming!

I'd love to I'm just concerned it may break down and that will really make my day since  I have only had it for a week.

But I guess that what turns a trip into an adventure.

So what happens at Tamworth I assume its not the same weekend as the country music fest as its not a long weekend that week.

This event has been held in 2010 and 2012, and has attracted between 34-36 Mokes each year from NSW, Vic, SA, Qld and Tassie. As with previous events, the focus will be on some interesting local runs together and a lot of time for socialising - before, during and after the runs - rather than a car show oriented, rigidly structured weekend. It worked well last time, so we're doing it that way again. Note that some of the drives are on a mix of sealed and unsealed roads, but in most cases we'll have a sealed alternative to get to our destinations.

There is more detail on the Roundup website at www.mokeroundup.com.au We've published the proposed routes on both the forum and the website, and have sent out newsletters to let everyone know to check the program.
If you complete your details for the mailing list at www.mokeroundup.com.au/contact-us.html I'll send you the newsletter.

If you would like to read a bit more about previous events, here are some links : 2010 Round Up - on the old forum - www.moke.com.au/Forum/index.php?topic=4723.0
2012 Round Up - on the forum - www.mokeforum.com.au/index.php/topic,8009.0.html and also the Mokes Inc website www.mokesinc.org.au/tamworth-round-up-2012

Keep an eye on the Forum (the new Tamworth board can be found at www.mokeforum.com.au/index.php/board,89.0.html) and the Roundup website (www.mokeroundup.com.au) for updates.

No, Roundup is 22-26 October and Country Music Festival is held in January. :)

Hi Mont. Just getting to Tamworth is part of the adventure. You may be able to join up with a group of Mokes heading up. Just keep an eye on the Tamworth Roundup thread as time gets nearer.
My first meet up with fellow mokers was at the 2012 Roundup. The morning I was due to head off the minibeast would not start. It was unceremoniously dragged out of the garage (as it is uphill) by the NRMA. I had the starter motor looked at that morning, got it going and off I went. The trip was fun, and all went well. The next morning, it started okay, fuelled up, and than spent the next few days being push started every time we stopped on our drives. What ever the problem was went away mysteriously. I also had a good run home.

The Tamworth trip was, and still is, the longest trip I have done in the Moke. I am looking forward to heading up there again.  :)

I'm excited now. I just registered. wow! i'm estimating it will only be 3 and a half hours from Blacktown. it took me 2 hours to singleton last week to pick up the moke by car trailer.

Very excited.  ;D
