I'm excited now. I just registered. wow! i'm estimating it will only be 3 and a half hours from Blacktown. it took me 2 hours to singleton last week to pick up the moke by car trailer.

Very excited.  ;D

Hi Mont,

I'm in Blacktown too. Don't hold your breath about only taking 3.5hrs. General rule of thumb with moking and with potentially convoy driving you add half the time again.

I think it took us closer to the 5 hour mark when we ran through.

Look forward to seeing you and a lot of other new faces at the Roundup Mont. We have noticed a lot of unfamiliar names on the newsletter list this time around, so it should be interesting  :)

There will probably be a couple of convoys coming from or through Sydney, so keep an eye out and you might be able to join up with one of them - always adds to the experience, plus good to have some back up if it ends up being your first big Moke run.

Just FYI, Singleton to Tamworth is a pretty solid two hour run, so 4 hours (in a "normal" car taking the main highways) might be more realistic from Blacktown.

For those from the south that don't get up here much, the recently opened Hunter Expressway has knocked a genuine 30 minutes off the trip from Sydney to Tamworth, which is pretty significant on what was a 4-1/2 - 5 hour run  :o. That is, for those Mokers who don't mind expressways  :-\

Unless you have a good reason not to, we strongly recommend the Austin Tourist Park (details on the Roundup web page) as that will be Moke Central. All of the activities will be based around there and all runs will start/finish there. If history is any guide 99% of attendees will stay there, so if you want to get the most out of the group event side of things, that's the place to stay.

Good on you guys!

It's a shame I can't make it this year or make it to Tassie. But believe me I wish I could.

I'm just hoping you guys or others are still motivated and events are still occurring in the couple of years so I can attend.

All the best with the planning and execution. If the last roundup was anything to go off it will be great!
