There is a small but dedicated group from Victoria planning their route north.
So far we have - Homey & Di, Cliff, Ann & Peter, Scott & Laura, possibly Glenn, Grant & Sharon, Rod & Faye and me!!!
We will more than likely be heading off on Sunday the 19th, heading inland with some sightseeing on the way and arriving on the Tuesday.
I have given the website details to all so they can register....

All going well we'll see you at Tammy!!!

Another Melbourne-ite also on the way, but we will be behind the main group as we head to Nowra for a family function first on Sunday 19th before heading up to Tamworth to arrive on Wednesday evening. Looking forward to seeing all of you there!

G'day Rob,
When you're down in Nowra (where I live)
prior to Tamworth, give me a ring and we'll try
and arrange a meeting at the hanger.

 cheers Biggles

Our Moke will already be in Sydney (travelling up early October, then back via Bathurst for V8 race in son's car) so Faye and I fly back to Sydney on the Tuesday and will then drive to Tamworth on the Wednesday most likely via the Putty Road to be at Moke Central Wednesday night.
Hoping to join Rhonda"s group back to Melbourne after Roundup.

We're registered and booked in for accommodation at ATP. Percy's trying to count how many sleeps, but once he gets to four tyres he gets a bit confused......

Cabbie,

Percy's going up inland, avoiding the worst of the truck routes where possible.

Probably leaving on Sat 18th or even Fri 17th to allow for a leisurely potter before arriving on Tues 21st. Have you guys firmed up on when you are leaving and the route you're taking?

Oh no, the driving force of the Victorian contingent has dropped out  :o :(

Sad news Cabby after all of your planning and promotional work getting others fired up down there. Hope whatever it is keeping you home isn't too serious (although it must be pretty bad to make you miss out on the trip  :( ). Won't be the same without you

:( :( :( We'll miss you, Cabby. Thanks for the work promoting the Roundup  :) and hope you enjoy reading posts about it (although it won't be the same of course).

OK, so Cabby has dropped out which is very sad, but life goes on and that's no reason for the convoy to fall apart....

So, Homey, MMD and Melbourne Rob have all posted up their plans (assuming they're still current). That leaves CliffP and Peter (who I believe are travelling up together), Sahara Dust and Terry from the Victorian contingent.

You of course don't have to put up your plans publicly, but please at least contact each other and work out what you are all doing so that those who want to can travel up together. Always nicer to travel with fellow Mokers (well OK, usually nicer anyway  ;) ) and also provides some backup for each other in case of issues arising over such a long trip.

Looking forward to seeing all of you who are making such a great effort to come so far to join in the fun with us  :)

We're all good! Heading to Nowra area on 17th for a family gathering, aiming to catch up with Biggles and Mazy (any more near the Hangar?) on 18th or 19th and then heading to Tamworth to arrive Wednesday evening.

We're planning to be wIth the group for the outings etc until Sunday, then planning to head back over three to four days (some of the way with Cliff and others) is the current plan.

We're cheating a little with the Moke on the trailer (too much of a jaunt for us and the two kids via Moke alone - yep, we're soft!). What that does give us though is a trailer option if somebody gets badly stranded so we have the skeleton of a Plan B if we need it.

Order us some good weather - looking forward to catching up with you all.
