I decided to put up a more recent avatar pic so I removed it and now I cannot get the avatar posted.

Hi,
Choose the pic you want to use and highlight the "direct link" and copy it (cntrl + c).
Go to Profile - Modify Profile - Forum Profile.
In the Personalized Picture area, click on "Specify avatar by URL".
In the text box next to it, paste your Direct Link ( cntrl + v )
Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Change profile" button.

That should do it for you  :)

Hi Mont,

There is nothing I can see in your profile that would stop you changing your avatar. ???

HP's instructions should work for a photo in the gallery. If you want to use a photo on your computer or a website, there are a few more details here....

https://www.mokeforum.com.au/index.php/topic,8780.0.html

If you get an error message then let us know the details.

Not sure what "direct link" means. Do you mean the name of the picture on my PC? Mont  :-\

Direct Link is the actual location of the photo in the gallery - second box down when viewing the image.

It only works if the photo is already in your gallery, and you need to copy the contents of that box and paste it into the "Specify URL" box when changing your avatar.

If the photo is still on your computer and you haven't put it in the gallery, use the "Upload an Avatar" button and then browse to the photo on your computer. The photo needs to be a certain size to work, and the details are in the link in my post above.
