Hooray - fame and fortune at last!

Any chance of a clearer copy of the page....it would be a great momento (maybe even a copy of the paper if not....!)

Thanks!

Yes Shorty, that pic was taken on Thursday at our morning tea stop in Manilla on our way to Warrabah National Park.

Rob, I have sent you a better copy of the article via email. Let us know ASAP if you want a copy of the actual paper (that goes for anyone else who wants a copy too) as Greg may be able to pick up some extra copies in the next few days, but being a Tuesday edition, the next issue will be out soon and it will be a lot harder to get a copy.

Greg was also calling in at the Tamworth paper's office today too, to give them some details for an article they are writing. We will put up a copy of that once it goes to print too.

Hi Rob,

I will email you the higher res version tomorrow.

Michael is seeing if he can get hold of a few hard copies of the paper from Manilla, and if he can we'll post you one.

The Tamworth local daily paper will be doing an article on the next few days. I met with them today, and had a few extra photos taken, and I will email them a couple of extra photos tomorrow.

We'll keep everyone posted with that article, too.

Hi KMC, sorry I have done a late post. I missed this thread as my computer fried itself and I was out of the loop for a while till I could afford another one. Back in business now. I would appreciate a copy of the news papers that have articles on our 'mokin' about' exploits. I hope I'm not too late and I'm not causing too much trouble. Cheers to you. Thanks sue.

This is the coverage of the Roundup by the Northern Daily Leader; it was published in the weekend issue of 22-23 November. The photo was taken on the Saturday morning as we were leaving for Walcha.

They met with me the week following the Roundup to get some info, and there has certainly been some editorial modification ??? . I should make mention that I included Tassie and Qld as the Moker homes, but they seem to have translated this to Melbourne and Adelaide as the interstate homes. And I would never call a Moke a "Fred Flinstone" car....well maybe a really really rusty one ;) .

If anyone wants a copy of the article posted or a hi-res version emailed, drop me (or the recovering Newie) a PM. To those who have already asked, I'll pop yours in the post in the next few days.
