Well Tasmoken's and my day has gone very well, with all things considered.
We started last night, Sunday night, with an extremely smooth sailing across Bass Straight. With out any hiccups, this morning started exceptionally well, with a lovely Melbourne morning to welcome us.
As, to this point, I'd had no expressions of interest to join the Angry Ant on our trip up the highway, we took off on our own. It has been a very uneventful trip so far and I'm hoping it stays this way.
It wasn't quite the day I was hoping for, I was hoping for mid 20 degree tempratures but in stead we got this.
We started the day sitting on close to a 100 but as the day got up over 35 and the Angry Ant started to head very close to an area of the temperature gauge, that I wasn't happy to see him in. We pushed on and once we reached a descent roadhouse to stop at. Here we stopped long enough, so I could take off the radiator cap and choke fluid levels. I was very pleased to find the radiator full and the overflow bottle at the normal level. So on we punched to Forbes, where we have settled into our motel room, after eating half a cow each and topping it off with a few cold refreshments.
Tamworth tomorrow. Here we come.
