Jervis action
« on: April 09, 2018, 08:38:11 PM »
We missed the Kangaroo Valley run on Saturday, but the Booderee National Park on Sunday was great.
Clear, sunny skies with 20 to 30 degrees were perfect for driving with the roof down.
Most of the driving was was under 80kph so perfect for most of the 20 odd Mokes on the day. Of course the varied roads treated us with shadey Forrest’s, some dirt, and some twisty coastal black top.

Mokes continue to arrive by the day, and today’s run out to Currarong was another beaut drive in the Moke, albeit with the roof up today. Some 100 kph sections, and a few short re grouping spots saw us driving comfortably to some really nice spots for morning tea and then lunch where there were bush walks, and beach spots to explore, sit and view, or splash about in the water.
Must say that a coastal Moke gathering was far overdue, it’s really nice here  ;D.

Thanks for the write-up Tony. It is a great Moke area but unfortunately I haven’t been able to come down for an extended period. I am, however, hoping to get down on Saturday to see the display.
Catch up with you then.

Yesterdays run out to the Sussex Inlet area had us driving through some very varied roads.
The bush tracks were dusty and rough in spots but the headlands had some great views and morning tea to enjoy them.
It was then onto the George Boyd look out  ???, very steep as you reach the top. 500mtrs above sea level. Then to another look out were there would normally be a waterfall, but with little rainfall, there wasn’t much flowing, but still a nice landscape to admire.
It was then into Sussex inlet and lunch at the RSL club and some bare foot bowls  :).

Morning muster and breefing.

My lap top is giving me greif at the moment  >:( so have to use my phone. Oh well, minor problem.
The Moking is awesome though and today has heaps of options, another run out to the Kangaroo Valley, or Dolphin boat tour, or whatever you’d like to do  ;D

A big thanks to Mazy and Neato for leading a few of us on a terrific run from Nowra through to the Kangaroo valley.
A stop at Gandpa’s Shed near Fitzroy Fall was a real treat as well. One of those sheds chock full of all sorts of stuff with barely enough room to walk through  :)

They already have them I’m sure Pete :)
In fact Jules was one of the best dressed last night in my opinion  8)  ;) I guess you need to be here for the reason Jules was dressed up, as we all were  ;)

Today saw us head out to Point Perpendicular light house. Terrific drive, 35 odd Mokes are hard to muster but we made it out onto the hyway ok and the donkeys let loose  8).
11 k’s more dirt sure added to PRU’s already dusty complection  ;D, same as everyone else  actually ;).
