Moke Windscreen Wiper Pivot Seals...do they exist?
« on: June 07, 2018, 09:20:24 AM »
Hi Guys,

I am getting ready to do a few parts orders and need to know if there are any rubber seals needed on the Windscreen Wiper Pivots where they go through the front body?

I have done some searches, but not sure if they are actually required, or ever existed, or are part of the pivot itself?

Cheers

Mokes don't normally have pivots on the windscreen so I'm not sure what you mean.

There are some that people have modified with folding windscreens, maybe you have one of these.

Are you able to post a photo of what you have?

I made those washers for the wipers, get a piece of 20mm (check size) x short handy holdable length around 6" of water pipe, grind a knife edge around one end to make yourself a wad punch, get some 1/8" insertion rubber. Grab a hammer and a bit of soft wood, place rubber on wood and use your new wad punch to cut out 2 perfect rubber discs. For the hole in the middle use the suitable size wad punch.
