Moke Height
« on: June 30, 2018, 02:41:15 PM »
Hi.
Can anyone tell me a good height to adjust hi lows.
I gather the datum points would be floor to top of guards.
Have 13" wheels with 60 profile is a 2 seater carrying no weight.
A height that is good for the moke and good on the eye.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

you can set it up by the drive shafts which according to some manuals should have a slight fall from the engine to the wheel.

I made a tool that measures from the wheel rim to the top of the guard as I think that is the only consistent place for all Mokes and in the picture you can see this Moke with sad suspension was just under 200mm and with the new bits it was set up to be 230mm and 260mm on the rear which you can see it was originally.

As a general rule I like to see the front just a bit lower than the back and you should be able to easily get two finger widths between the front bumpstop and the top arm but this can vary for some Mokes for some reason.
