Started this thread to give Vic and Tassy folk a central spot to discuss any plans for convoying to and from the 2018 Tamworth Moke Round Up.

Always more fun (and usually less stressful to have a bit of back up) to travel with other Mokers on the way to and from these events if it can be arranged.

Only takes two Mokes to make a convoy, and registrations aren't closed yet

You have a point though, the Victorians are very thin on the ground this year. Too many other options for them lately maybe....

We have a convoy, small maybe, but a convoy.

Our current plan (subject to change) is to leave on Saturday and get to Tamworth Tuesday.

We will probably overnight in Cooma, Cowra and Coonabarraban.

Dynky will be on a trailer 🙁

Unfortunately the convoy will be minus Faye and Rod as M-ute will already be in Sydney and we plan to travel from there via the Hunter Valley vineyards arriving on the Wednesday.

Unfortunately I want be in the convoy either. I’m getting of the Spirit on Friday the 19th of October but need to be in Wellington NSW, for a wedding on Saturday the 20th. So my plan is just a quick solo run up to Wellington, on Friday. Others are most welcome to join me but I’m not planning a leisurely cruise, more of a mad dash up the highway.

Hi,

the loose plan for Peter and I is to leave Melbourne'ish on Sunday if i have myself and the Moke packed and the engine sorted otherwise leaving Monday at the latest to get there Tuesday night. Looking at the SA plans we might even intercept them along the way.

The Gippsland contingent is currently in Queanbeyan, poured rain for most of yesterday.
I realised yesterday that the trailer lights aren’t working so will try and get fixed in the
morning as I cannot even get power at the plug on the car.
Not sure where we will get to tomorrow night.

Hopefully the weather clears up and the trailer light problem is easily resolved tomorrow
