Hey there- I'm a new member and moke owner
« on: August 15, 2018, 10:06:21 PM »
Hey people,

My first post here, I have been lurking in the shadows for a week or two absorbing your posts and getting inspired while waiting for my moke to arrive from its rural home.

Today it was delivered in all its rusty glory, a hardtopped 1973 shovel full of rust and a motor.

As soon as I am approved I will probably post all of the same questions you have probably all answered a hundred times before and suck all of your info and experience to help me bring my baby back to life- so please excuse my enthusiasm.( yes I have read the FAQs about a hundred times) :)

I will post some pics of my beast as soon as I pass the new member initiation from the mods.

See you round

Hi Mokeyfish,

I've upgraded to to regular member status, so you should be able to post photos up whenever you're ready.

There's a good guide on how to do it here, but if you get stuck, let us know

Thanks for the welcome..

The shire is the Sutherland shire in southern Sydney.

Now- to read that photo posting thread so I can have a thread about what will be my glacially slow moke repair.

You're going to have to be good to beat some of us for glacial progress  ;)

Here's one of mine, along with 77 Devil's who was working on his at the same time.

We both moved on to road registered Mokes when we lost patience with these initial full on restos after a few years, but both still plan on getting them done.... one day  :-\ ;)

There are plenty of other examples on here too  ::). Not the recommended way to do it though of course  :D
