It just so happens that there will be a drought relief concert in Tamworth with these three as the headline acts.

Billed as the "Hay Mate, Buy a Bale" concert, it is being held on the Saturday of the Round Up. We were under the impression that it would be held on the Saturday night, which meant that if anyone was interested in going, you could easily do so without missing out on any Round Up activities, however I notice today that the start time on Ticketmaster is 12.00pm. Not sure if this is correct though, or maybe there is pre-show entertainment starting them - details are still very sketchy.

It is all still in the process of being organised, although tickets went on sale Monday 20th of August and are reportedly selling fast. These three are the only artists confirmed at this stage, but organisers are assuring everyone there are many more considering joining in.

General admission tickets are $99 each, with children under 12 admitted free, available through Ticketmaster

We have no problem with anyone going to this concert, however we have no plans to make it part of the Round Up. So if you'd like to take the opportunity to go along whilst you're in Tamworth, please make your own enquiries and purchase your tickets from the usual outlets.

Shorty is trying to organise some transport home from the concert, but to do that, he really needs an idea of how many people are going.

Adele is going and we will have our Captiva there so that may be an option.

Thanks Moe. It may be an option as we have only heard of Adele, Shorty and Alan S's wife Kerry who are going so far. Are your kids going?

KMC and I were talking about how the pick up could best be done considering that they are expecting 10,000 odd people to pour out of a suburban sportsground when it's finished. It's only a block or two from Goonoo Goonoo Rd (main Sydney highway) so we're thinking it would be far easiest if they walk down to there to be picked up, as traffic around the grounds will be a mess.
