Our New Moke
« on: September 08, 2018, 05:54:55 PM »
Hi All.

As a new member thought I would post some random photos of our nearly completed Moke. This unit has been in the making for 3 years with many man hours and work from Mini & Moke Restorations at Caloundra and myself. Mick (RIP) and Aaron started on this one but unfortunately with Mick's passing he didn't see it through. Aaron and I have continued on and all of Mick's influence can be seen in the car. From the custom extended rear bar, wiring loom, all LED lights, dash (autometer gauges), seats and too many improvements to list it has been a pleasure to work on with Aaron.

This is my lovely wife's dream car and not much to finish now before it's on the road including one seat missing (upholsterer), flares (custom alloy to be painted silver), wipers, belts, mats, hood and wheel alignment.

Look forward to picking every ones brain for info and my wife is extremely excited to get on the road.

Ah yes, i remember seeing this one on the hoist at the back of Aaron's workshop.  Lots of electronic trickery in it from memory.

Very nice Moke, congratulations on a very well finished Moke.

What a great looking Moke.
If there was a State of Origin for Mokes I am sure Queensland would dominate.

That could be misconstrued as a challenge. :)

You would not own a Moke if you did not like a challenge.

Hey Cookie I dropped in for an impromptu chat with Aron on Friday, he showed me your Moke and another he is working on I was blown away by this very tidy Moke. You have one lucky wife.
