Moking through Christmas 2018
« on: December 02, 2018, 08:58:53 PM »
Hi Mokers,
Well Christmas is here once again and I know a lot of us like to drive around on the warm Aussie nights exploring the back streets of our Towns searching for the bright Chrissy lights with our kids or Grandkids, or nieces and Nephews, friends etc.

Please add some pics of your Moke runs here.

Today was when our Kids, and their Kids got to dress up PRU for the annual Xmas Light Runs around the border.
We had to miss last years run  :( ::), but we are all ready this year  8), and this year we have Grand Daughter No 3 checking out how things go around here  :)

And the driveway test drive  8) ;D ;D ;D

Now just need some warm weather  :).

I wish we could temper some of the extremes you guys are having up there at the moment  :(, all we can do is hope everyone is safe, and that communities band together to help where they can.

Had a little cool blast this week, but looks like things are heating up down here later this week with 40 deg temps forecast as well, hope we dont get the strong winds with it.

Wishing everyone a safe and Merry Moking Christmas  :)

Hi,

I have a club run on the calendar to check out the Northern Lights, that is northeast'ish suburbs of Melbourne next week, Wednesday the 12th, and with the weather warming up this week I will be doing a few reco's during the coming evenings which is usually more fun than arranged night.

That's fantastic HP! Great to see your whole family enjoying PRU and moking. :)

And I have to say PRU is looking better than ever. 8)

Oh wow, was going to reply, but  :-[

Thanks MD  ;)

I went to the Xmas MOA meeting with Gulliver and camp trailer in tow in Melbourne after visiting a friend in Geelong, and afterwards followed some crazy Moker over hills and through bush land at night, and all of a sudden we popped up back in suburbia somewhere( I had no idea where we were) and found myself surrounded by some of the most fantastic Xmas lights I’d seen  8). Couldn’t take a pic, I was driving and it was pretty late by this stage. A fun evening  ;D that’s for sure  8).

My kids took their kids for a run in PRU  :)

Something went wrong though, and PRU stalled and wouldn’t restart for them  :(
Luckily we’re not a big City, and didn’t take much to get them home.
I had no time to see what happened and suspected another head gasket, but a pressure test was ok. New plugs and retune of mixture and idle and she runs fine again. Dunno, it’s weird  ::)

Anyway, went for a run out to Chiltern, where one of the residents of this small town puts on a wonderfull display that just gets bigger each year.

Weather is good here, just unfortunately other things are far more important to do than Moking each night  ::)
