CV boots?
« on: February 25, 2019, 01:05:36 PM »
Seems the one's I normally buy only last a couple of years before they split. The Moke is set up so axles are level so shouldn't be any abnormal load. Can you buy decent one's that will last, maybe silicon?

Hi,

if you visit your supplier, or at least ask, to make sure you get the boots that are the one piece moulding and not the two piece.

I have never noticed a brand, most are in unmarked clear bags, but some i have installed do seem to be a lot thicker and firmer than others.

I have tried looking on the net but get bombarded with that many choices I can't find what you suggested. Can you point me in a direction where I could find one piece outer CV joints?

Hi,

I would suggest you contact one of the usual suppliers and ask if they can provide a quality one piece boot.
