Oil leak rod change seal
« on: April 27, 2020, 11:21:57 AM »
The minibeast has had a larger than I'd like oil leak for a while. Haven't had a really good look yet, but seems to be coming from the rear of the engine so I suspect the rod change seal. I have looked at the article in Mokeworx by Maddog that shows how to fix things.  I'm willing to have a go and got the parts listed ready to order.
Question from a newbey mechanic - will I have to drain the oil first? Will oil pour out when I remove the old seal?

Thanks in advance.  ;)

Hi,

it will pour out if you remove the seal so i suggest you drain it first with the front of the car lower than the back so you get the oil out fo the diff area.
