ROUND UP 2020
« on: November 04, 2018, 05:35:34 PM »
Too soon?  ;)

Maybe, but if you're anything like KMC and I, 2019 might as well be gone already, so we want to at least book the date for the next Round Up.

No point kidding ourselves that we won't be doing it all again  ::) :D

Also, when we started doing the Round Ups in 2010, we almost had a monopoly on Moke events. We would have been lucky to have one Moke event a year back then. Seems like they are a lot more common these days and we really have a pretty narrow time window that we can make the Round Up happen, so we may as well book it in now.

So for all of you who had such a great time a week ago, and for all of you others who are still kicking yourselves for missing out, put a big red line through October  21 - 25, 2020

So Christmas, New Year and the associated chaos and hoiidays for those who are lucky enough to have had them are all an ancient memory for most of us and it's time to get on with 2020.

Locally in and around Tamworth, the December/January period has been a hard slog for many, with so many 40 plus degree days not making the ongoing drought and bushfire problems we've shared with a lot of the rest of the country any easier to deal with.

At the moment though, the fires are out (and hopefully stay that way for the season) and whilst the drought and heat are still going strong, we did finally get a run of storms that provided some short term relief a few weeks ago, which has at least temporarily greened things up and does help psychologically apart from anything else.

So, making the most of the run of enthusiasm, we've spoken to Austin Tourist Park (Moke Central again for the 6th time running) regarding rates etc for the 2020 Round Up and I'll be putting up a post with details shortly.

We're not quite ready to accept registrations for the event yet, but keep your eyes open on the Forum and FaceBook for the notification - it won't be too far off.

Mark your calendars if you haven't already - TAMWORTH October 21 - 25 2020!!!

REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN FOR MOKE ROUND UP 2020

Held of course in Tamworth NSW and Austin Tourist Park will be Moke Central as always.

Dates are October 21st - 25th 2020 - Wednesday to Sunday. You are of course welcome to come for the whole event if you can, or just a day or two if that's all you can manage.

The entry fee has been kept down to the same as the past couple of events and is a flat $35.00 per vehicle, no matter how many people in the group or how long you attend. We believe this is great value for 5 days of (semi) organised Moke fun.

Accommodation details will be posted shortly. Austin Tourist Park has put together a great discount package for us, including an extra discount for those who book five nights or more.

They have a great range of cabins, plus of course accomodations for the caravanners and campers amongst us and we highly recommend staying there if you're coming to the event. More info shortly.

If you've been living under a rock and have never heard of the Moke Round Up, you can find more information on the 2018 event here https://mokeroundup2018.weebly.com  and the start of this year's event web page is here https://www.mokeroundup.com.au/

Details regarding the specific runs we will be doing and merchandise etc are still being fine tuned and will be updated in due course. Keep an eye out here for updates.

in the meantime REGISTER HERE to let us know you're coming  https://www.mokeroundup.com.au/registration.html No payment needed at this stage. We will invoice you for it in a few months' time.

Whilst things are looking positive at the moment, the uncertainty of the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions obviously makes event planning a bit tricky at the moment.

Being optimistic Mokers though, we are continuing to plan for the event to be held 21-25 October 2020 at this stage.

Provided we have enough time beforehand to trial runs etc, and the restrictions allow, the event will still go ahead.
