Barn - HiHo79
« on: March 27, 2021, 03:54:33 PM »
Hello all.

I'm new here.  I have a 1979 Californian in HiHo Silver. Project - 998, drum brakes etc.
I am in the Albury area and will probably be chasing parts if I ever get organised.  Does anyone have a rotisserie for sale or pics of one to fabricate?

Cheers,
Barn

G'day Barn, welcome to the Moke Forum.
Im also on the Border and have access to a rotissarie where we can get some measurements.
They are a great tool to flip a Moke shell, its amazing how often you do flip them when repairing and welding.

Try looking at this link from the "Frequently asked Questions" section.

Thanks Guys

Not sure if this the correct place to ask but will be looking for the following:

1. Two front seats - don't need to be flash just functional.  Original ones were high back blue.
2. Metal Speedo dash surround. Speedo to suit and maybe switches.
3. Front axel Driver side - everything from the ball bearing setup at the gearbox outwards to the hub.  Drum brakes now but would like to change over to disc brake setup at some stage so would need everything for both sides. I have an old setup from a classic Mini Cooper (pre ball bearing type) if anyone wants it? New 7 inch rotors, old calipers, axels, hubs etc.
4. At least one 13 inch Sunraysia wheel.
Just looking to get it going not a full resto at the moment.
Thanks Again,
Barn

Hi Barn,
The seats are known as Thombstone, hard to come by. Do you have any seats at all?
Most of the other stuff might be found locally.
I have a couple of Sunraysia. I recently found out they were pretty buckled. I’m going to see a mob in Albury to see how much work it is to get them running true again.

Cheers
