Moke scale model
« on: June 21, 2008, 09:21:40 PM »
If anyone here collects model mokes then in the next week or so there will be one in Newsagents
as part of the James Bond Car Collection series, Edition 24 is the one you want.
The magazine is $19.95 and I think it has an article about the movie that the moke appeared in (Live and Let Die I think)
I have seen the model on ebay going for $60.00, I got a couple from OS early on for less than $10.00.
It is the same size a Dinky mokes but I'm not sure of the scale, bigger than Matchbox though.

I'd post a picture but lost my editing program when my box crashed last week >:(

Nice find HP, it's not like those Queenslanders to sell a White moke with a blue roof 😉

Did you get the magazine with it too?

I know!  Sadly, no magazine.
This shop owner is a collector, and he owns a few different Moke models which he proudly displays in cabinets scattered around the shop.
Their definately not for sale, but on some of his collection is a sticker saying if your willing to offer over $500, he may be willing to sell  ;).

Hi,
Was walking down Clarence st near Town Hall station today and saw this little unassuming sign.

I said to Mrs HP “Lets check it out”.
After looking around for about 20 minutes, past the Fiats, Gogo mobile, Aston Martins and Commodores, finally found a Trax Moke in the very last cabinet ;D.

Love the little esky and the surfboards, doubt they were standard fitment, but what the hey, it’s cool  8)
Another one for the ‘Pool Room’  8)

There aren’t many different scale Moke Models out there that I know of Beno, but when you do come across one in a random place like at a Market, a swap meet, a bric a brac shop, even Pops old shed, it’s good fun.
MMD, if there was any others, their still there  ;), it’s all about the hunt   ;D

Has anyone else got some pics of Moke Scale Models? Would be cool to see what’s out there, not many are here on the Forum.
