I only have a list from Dulux but I think the names and colours were the same as some mokes were had berger paint on them ???
Scarlet O'hara red was used up until 76-77 as far as I know then went to Signal Red

Seamoke, Squadron blue looks darker than the moke in your avitar, the only other blues from about 73 onwards are
Cassino -73 to 75
Navy-73 to 75
Squadron Blue 78
Cobalt blue 80's
Pacific blue 80's
Is yours a standard colour Seamoke?

the listing I have is for all Leyland cars so the mayor may not of been used on mokes
1976 Moke 1275cc (Dynky),
1976 Moke(Scarlet) current project,
1974 Moke with Suzuki GTI motor (project),
1975 Moke rust bucket,
1967 Moke rust bucket

The colour sticker is missing, and the vehicle has been repainted. Under the bonnet is still the original colour, which looks darker than the current colour.

Hi Moe,

I bought a can of Signal Red today and primed a piece of gal then sprayed it,but Signal Red was a shade or two darker than my Moke.
I was surprised looking at the paint chart today just how many Reds Leyland used, but the paint shop chart only lists Mokes up to 79.
Do you know of the other Reds they used on 81 Mokes at all? I could buy every Red they made in a Spray can and try that ,at $12 dollars a hit it starts to add up though. Any help would really great!

Regards Seamoke.

Seamoke,
Darbys in Moorabool St Geelong can match up a paint sample and supply it in a pressure pak. Check them out - conditions may apply  ;D

Take one of the side covers in. They don't need the whole car.

So what colour is Neptune Blue? I had a look at a picture on Mini and Moke World and really liked the colour. Is it an original colour, or a colour that has been "made up"? ???

Its not on any of the colour lists I've seen, but there was a "Neptune Racing Team" that used to have Minis (amongs others). Their cars were all painted the same, a sort of mid-blue I think. Peter Manton drove for them.

Cannot find Neptune Blue in my list of colours. Berger had a colour called B.L.M.C. Blue which looks similar, Berger number HK5131
Ford did make a Neptune Blue back in 1976
There's one in this link, about halfway down, looks a bit different though but might just be the photos

Hi Middie,
Is that the Moke you have just purchased or are you the seller. I saw that Moke on Ebay i think?
Can you give us the run down?

Tim - I thought i was the only one who could remember "Skinny Mini Manton". He and Norm Beechey had a great time in the Neptune Racing team. And now I won't be able to sleep tonight because I can't think of the name of the Cortina driver??????
My first car was a 1961 Mini 850, and I had Neptune Racing Team stickers all over it. Couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding mind you, but it was a lot of fun.

Seamoke - yep I was the person who bought it off eBay. Didn't make the reserve, but the owner (Trevor) gave me a second chance offer and I took it gladly. Middie only arrived home on Monday, and it's been raining and dark ever since so I haven't had a chance to play with it.
And of course for the long weekend (great chance to have a play) I will be down at Narrabeen with my son who is playing in the NSW state championships for Rugby.
When I get inside her I'll put the details up on the Forum.

MoeMoke - thanks for your information, I'll have a look at the various original colours. Where did you find the original colour charts? I googled it but couldn't come up with a list of names and colour samples.

Peter Manton was a bit before my time, but he's famous in Mini circles. Jim McKeown drove Cortinas (OK I cheated and googled it). I found a great photo of all three cars, half way down this page.
