Hi,

On a sort of related note, the Blue Moke in the shed with Rod and Faye is about to be stripped down and rebuilt with a 1980 shell I sold the owner last night. Apparently the piece of alloy on the side boxes isn't there for show, it is hold the Moke together as it has bad bad cancer.

And it was great to catch up with Rod and Faye, the 1st time since we left Mokefest, which is why the locals did see much of me on the Saturday arvo I was there.

Terry, that moke had a dirty big square steel handle mounted vertically near the handbrake. Do you know what that was for ?  Sure looked odd.

Sus,

It is a hydraulic handbrake to operate the rear brake when used in Motorkhanas.

The Adam Coakley Moke.

Having driven that Moke at Hay once years ago, I can assure you it is very effective.  :)

The handle is removable to avoid temptation to use the brake on the road.

Look there's Spicee, Faye and Cabsav (and a little Spice behind them) 'bumping gums', they are probably talking about mokes so I guess thats ok. is

Did anyone else see CabSav's interior light? ... made me laugh ... very cool and you never think you need one until you need to read a map driving at night ...

Thanks Tim for spotting the correct Rod, the one with the blonde hair not the old guy with the white hair as suggested by Moemoke.
