Regarding the pedders brand shocks and relevant part numbers,

I have added the info to the sticky note at the front of Moke Help page in part numbers.

Are they a recent purchase Sparki, or have you had them tucked away for a little time too?

PS  Looking good.  I will have to call around some time soon for an update.  Is it at home or in the workshop?

1)The Oil Shocks only purchases two weeks ago , some of the last ones available , so if anybody wants some , get them.
2)Not a Problem , Its at the Workshop.

Yes still going with the rebuild  - Getting closer by the week is all I can Say at present !

The moke is off its Trolley & on its power Coated Yellow rims & new tyres

Engine has been machined & Bottom end assembled & a waits gearbox.

Gearbox I was going to use - Looked like new inside but looking outside under the grease has been welded where the old uni Joint has let go  :(

Now the old Seized Gearbox casing is been Blasted & used with all new bearings & seals - More Time .

Hand Brake Lever has been Rebuilt with new spring & Rubber handle Grip & Machined Alloy Button today.

Fuel Tank has been Cleaned inside & out - looks new again hope to fit this week.

Get some time for pics - will post them.

Diff Final drive Ratios

Gearbox 1: 3.64 Ratio       62 - 17
Gearbox 2: 4.26 Ratio       64 - 15

Wheel Size : 13 Inch
Tyres : 175/70 13

Which Ratio Should be used?
Thanks

Hi,

Unless you have a paddock full of ponies under the bonnet then the 4.2 is what would normally be used with that combination of rim and tyre.

the 3.6 is a ratio normally used with the the 10" wheels of a mini.

2 Weeks Off Work  , 7 Days to completion - Sparki Moke  will finally be finished.

Problem 1: Remote Gear Selector Assembly has 2 threaded holes in the side of it , one is for the Reverse Switch ( Rear One) , What goes in the other one?

Problem 2 : What is the best Insurance Company for a moke? Shannon's ??

Shannons or Lumleys for your insurance Sparky.

I was with Shannons last year but got a better price from Lumleys this year. Get a quote from both, they both have an "ocasional" drive type policy and make sure you ask for salvage rights.
