Slightly OT  :o  :) but reminded me of something I found in my recent research into building a car trailer (still Moke related - still counts in my 80%  ;)).

Considering electric brakes as they are much nicer than "normal" trailer brakes and two of my vehicles have electric brake set ups wired in. Only concern was that it seriously limits what vehicle it can safely be used with. That is until I read someone else's comments in the same line who said "It makes it hard for most people to borrow the trailer as it is a bit unusual for anyone who doesn't normally tow large trailers to have electric brakes on their vehicle - but is that such a bad thing?"  :).

Looks like my trailer will get electric brakes  ;D

I was dowstairs today playing with my sewing machine.....

found some leather and came up with a basic pattern and viola!
I've got some fine tuning to do on the finishing such as
staps, buckles, lining etc but I've got a start.

Looks great Casper. Very similar to Smoken's, and yet much better looking for some reason - can't quite put my finger on why............... ;)

Would be a handy talent to have.

wow casper, that looks brilliant.
Thinking that maybee when a new roof is made, the drivers hat is made from an offcut. Apolsterers would be pretty cool with it I would think?

I'm amazed at how you got Indy to sit for the pics with hat and goggles! ;)

I did a search to find that no-one in Aus makes leather helmets (so far)
