Boydy's Donkey Ute Repair.

This is how i bought Donkey except for windscreen frame, wheels and bumpers, they have been donated from my 78 Californian that is sadly laying on its side behind the shed.

This is what I need to fix and Donkey being cut to pieces


Am just learning to enter info, so please be patient. will add more pics,,,, promise.....

It doesn't look to bad in the first pic but looking more closely she's a bit ugly.
It shouldn't be to hard to repair just matching the paint may be a bugger though. ;)

Chances are the rust underneath extends along the "Bermuda Triangle" to the front subframe.
A lot of repairers just pop rivet a piece of metal over this area and try and hide it with bog but the rust is always there
slowly eating away at you pride and joy

BTW, I just made up the name Bermuda Triangle for the Triangular section between the side pod, the floor and the
   interior side panel ;D

The fun has bugun on the Moke.
Looks like you have had plenty of other fun as well, especially with the Making of the Soundproofing wall of Cans

They are there so wifey can't hear the swearing!

Looks like reliving the night mare that I had with the flinstone Mobile  ;D
I hope you have a good Mig welder Donky and lots of paitents it is very esay to replace the sections around the Battery box you can square it of on a 45 deg angel in the corners . if Moe has still got some pictures of when I did Battery box repaire It may be some help to you Donky and You could adopt Tery's idear of refitting theded inserts with one of thoughs od looking rivet guns

be Carfull Boby for some of when we get past the tipsy stage can turn  cutting out rusted panels with grinder into a drunken haze :)

been there done that althogh it was more excitement than drink - it is fun tho......until you look at it the next day an wonder how you are going to put it back together

Still working on it. sheet metal been a bit slow, mig welder problems da de da da children coming home agaian taking up shed space but bought sh#t loads off spare parts though ;D
