gday Newie,
"Tracks like the one I tried yesterday will be reserved as side runs for those special few off road Mokers who aren't afraid to get a bit wet and stone chipped and maybe spend a little time on the side of the road with a can of WD-40"

     I'm special :)

I was just wondering - do most people drive their Mokes to Tamworth or take them on car trailers? I haven't taken the Minibeast great distances yet. I'm still working out it's capabilities.   :-\

Most drove last time, but a few trailered Mokes in for various reasons. ususally because like you they weren't 100% confident of making it there and back.

Some may pick on you for trailering it, but I know of a few Qlders and one Victorian who paid quite a price for taking the chance and driving  :(

That said, convoying up with other Mokers adds heaps to the experience and being in Sydney there will be several groups coming up from that way, so you may be able to hook up with one of them. I always feel much more confident doing long distances (and it's more fun) with some Moke company.

Whichever way you do it, the most important thing is that you get there  :)

:) I think Faye is now convinced that a Moke trip to Tamworth is far better than a plane trip to USA so we are now planning for Tamworth in November.
Although unable to guarantee are all indicators flashing towards the event taking place on the 1st week-end in November.
I have just purchased a new (second hand) 1275 that I will install over winter therefore keen to hit the highways with that under the bonnet.

Is anyone going who won't have full seats in their moke for the runs as I would love to be involved. Cheers Sue Alone.

G'day Sue,
Hopefully we'll be there in 2 mokes so should have a spare seat
or 2. Could even let you drive the "Rat" if you want. looking forward
to meeting you.

Don't let the lack of a Moke stop you Sue. Going on the turn up last timre, there will be plenty of spare seats and plenty of people there who will go out of their way to make sure no Moker is left behind  :) . You'll get plenty of sympathy as I'd say the majority of the people there by far have been caught out with a Moke "in progress" at some stage.

Hope you're planning on talking Tooby into coming too  :) .

Look forward to seeing you there.
