Changes to the Moke Help Board
« on: August 19, 2012, 10:13:13 PM »
Hi,

As part of the forum changes, the Moke Help board has now been split into a few new sections. This idea was originally suggested by Seamoke, and is similar to the way help is handled on other forums. The new sections have been added as child boards to keep the home page a manageable size, and can be found by clicking on Moke Help.

The idea is not to create a place for every question, but to have a limited number of sections for the most common areas to make things easier to find and search. Everything else will remain in Moke Help. The new sections have descriptions to help define what they cover, as well as a copy of the Frequently Asked Questions relating to that section as a Sticky.

When searching the help board, it is now possible to search the individual boards by simply opening them first. So if you are looking for information on brakes, start by opening the Steering/Suspension/Brakes child board. You might also find what you need by simply browsing the new sections. To search all the Help boards, return to the Home page.

When starting a new topic, please take a second to consider where your question belongs and use a helpful title. To start a topic in the new sections, you will need to open the child board first. Moke Help will remain as it is for any new topics that don't quite belong in any of the new sections.

Around half the help topics have already been shifted, and it will take Newie and I a few more days to do the rest - so please bear with us for a while. ;)

Cheers, MD.
