Any Queenslanders heading to Tamworth?
« on: September 04, 2012, 08:25:13 AM »
The Cape York Crew (sa mokin, Halfpint, spider) will be heading south to Tamworth from QLD at the end of our journey - and I was wondering if there were locals who were thinking of travelling down to Tamworth and wanted to travel together?

Hi SA! What dates will that be??? I will be heading down to Tammy from Bundaberg, keep in touch. I'm not going in my moke though as 'Wilma' isn't ready yet. Cheers for now.

 ;D

Probably need to stop every 10 K's to charge the batteries.
Maybe we could borrow the green/fan/mini/moke thing that went with the battery bike

I'm planing to take it easy and leave wednesday stopping overnight at Gleninnes
then thursday head over to Inverell and have a look at the motor museum,
before heading down to Tamworth.

Which way were you planning on coming SA/HP/Spider?

Do I remember correctly that you planned to come down the coast to Brisbane, then across through Toowoomba, Warwick and down the New England Hwy?

Or are you still flexible at that end of the trip?

I think that's the rough plan - at this time - planning and routes could be rather fluid by this stage of our journey  ;)
