Hi everyone. Would like to load a picture of the beast,but seems like I can't yet. Can someone hep, please?

The option to upload picture is greyed out, so I reckon it's disabled. Any advice appreciated.

Hi moemoke. Thanks, and yes, I had referred to it but for the benefit of other users who might be using an iPad, THAT was the problem. All good on the old PC....

Just had a fiddle with our ipad and has Ed says if you go to your gallery, then add picture where the 'Upload Picture' window is it has 'choose file' in shaded gray and you cannot choose
a file, on the PC it has 'browse' at the end of the window but for some reason the ipad has 'choose file' in the window and you cannot select it.
I thought it might let me if I added a title, description or keywords but alas NO. Same happens in 'bulk add pictures'

You guys are behind the times - other forums have Apple iPhone and iPad apps specifically for forum interaction....

According to the searching I did last night the issue with the file uploads is because the version of Safari browser that is used on iPad and iPhone doesn't interface correctly with the HTML standard for browsing the client device. It is not an issue unique to this or any other forums.The apps that I found are work arounds to that particular issue or others to trying an overcome other issues with screen size or use the new functionality of the mobile devices.

As for being behind the times, you aren't paying me enough to be bothered writing a Apple app and going through the hoops involved to get it published and we are sitting here talking about a car developed in the 50/60's and last produced here over 30 years ago.

No idea how much it would cost to write one but then whatever it did cost I/we couldn't afford it.

Maybe someone else has written an App or alternative specific to the software used for this Forum, SMF - Simple Machines Forum, or a general purpose solution that could be used but requires someone to go looking again.

I recall in another post some people have shared how they upload their photos so that might be something that could work for you.

A few of us use an app called 'icabmobile' for uploading photos, I haven't used it for a while
but it did work well.

Sorryy Shorty, I meant to get back to you the other day after putting a couple of your photos into a post for you.

You've seriously done all the hard work and stopped at the easy bit

All you have to do is go into the gallery, find your photo (if you've just uploaded it, it will more than likely be right at the top of the recent photo list). Then double click on it and you will see a full size version of your photo with several different codes underneath it. The only one you need to worry about is the first one which is called a BB Code. Just highlight this code and copy/paste it into the reply post.
